There are five New York City Marriage Bureaus, one located in each borough. Not all of them allow cameras and most carry an institutional vibe. The exception is the Marriage Bureau in Lower Manhattan, which was renovated in 2006 with the goal of making NYC the wedding capital of the world. It is a lively space that welcomes cameras, wedding parties of up to 30, and – most importantly – couples who come from near and far committed to taking that next step.
