Turkmenistan is rich as a result of it sales of natural gas and oil to Russia. The president  envisions a city made completely of white marble – and as a result has increased the 2013 market value of this resource 30% over 2012 alone. Full of huge monuments, major construction and empty plazas and parks, it is truly a sight to behold.
